This role is crucial for supporting engineering test and development activities for various automotive components and full vehicle Strength and Durability verification.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive testing technology, where you'll lead and support engineering test activities, perform both objective and subjective testing through driving, and utilize sophisticated data acquisition tools. You'll be responsible for vehicle benchmarking, supporting vehicle tuning, and coordinating with design and CAE teams to develop effective solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2-7 years of relevant industry experience in Strength/Durability testing. Experience with Data Acquisition tools, test track driving, and hands-on vehicle instrumentation is essential. Responsibilities For Test Engineer II - Strength and Durability

  • Lead and support engineering test activities applying engineering principles and analysis tools
  • Perform objective and subjective testing by driving
  • Utilize data acquisition tools to collect data, analyze and report results
  • Conduct vehicle benchmarking for target setting
  • Support vehicle tuning and instrument vehicles for objective tests
  • Analyze and resolve problems with moderate guidance
  • Negotiate with internal departments and external suppliers
  • Coordinate with design and CAE teams to report results and develop countermeasures
  • Search new ways to increase overall efficiency
  • Travel to client / test sites required

Requirements For Test Engineer II - Strength and Durability

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing preferred)
  • 2-7 years relevant industry experience in Strength/Durability testing
  • Minimum 2 years experience using Data Acquisition tools
  • Test track / driving experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office
  • Hands on experience with wrenching and vehicle instrumentation
  • Formula SAE, BAJA SAE, EcoCar, Mini BAJA SAE experience preferred
