GoNetspeed is a telecommunications service provider seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team in Rochester, NY. This key position within the Sales Department reports to the Sales Engineering Supervisor and involves close collaboration with Account Executives, Senior Account Executives, Operations, and Business Services teams.
The role offers a competitive compensation package with a base salary range of $75,000 - $85,000, plus monthly commission based on territory sales performance. As a Sales Engineer, you'll be at the intersection of technical expertise and sales, providing crucial pre-sales support for both existing and new accounts.
Your responsibilities will span from utilizing Salesforce CRM for technical sales support to identifying various access methods including UNE copper, fiber, and third-party last mile fiber providers. You'll be actively involved in customer meetings, represent the sales team in engineering reviews, and work closely with Network Engineering and OSP Engineering for project cost estimations.
The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience in technical or sales engineering roles within the telecommunications industry. While a high school diploma is required, a 2 or 4-year degree is preferred. Your expertise should cover telecommunications technology, including telephony, Ethernet, IP, VoIP, and DWDM, along with knowledge of third-party fiber networks.
