Analytics Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our Core Analytics Team (CAT) within the Tech Ops & Analytics group. This role is crucial in building data pipelines to generate actionable insights around our research portfolio investment and impact.

As an Analytics Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of insights and engineering, directly contributing to DeepMind's mission of bringing AI benefits to the world. You'll be part of a diverse team comprising software engineers, analytics engineers, and data scientists, focusing on driving better organizational decisions through technical expertise and stakeholder relationships.

The role involves specialized analytics engineering to support research portfolio management, including exploring investment levels across projects and measuring work impact. You'll build efficient data pipelines, ensure proper data governance, and work closely with technical program managers and leadership to enable clear decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include building ETL pipelines, shaping data governance policies, conducting analyses using SQL and Python, developing monitoring tools, and communicating insights to diverse stakeholders. The position offers competitive compensation ($122,000 - $186,000,000), plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
