Description For DevOps Engineer

Google Public Sector is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Mandiant Public Sector Security Assurance team. This role is crucial in ensuring that client software and services meet the highest security standards. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing code for mission applications and working closely with partners and customers to enhance their mission capabilities and security posture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in security assessments, design reviews, and threat modeling. You'll need proficiency in coding, particularly in Python, and experience with Kubernetes for managing microservices. This high-profile consulting role involves direct interaction with highly technical client teams, enabling them to leverage the latest Google technologies.

Key responsibilities include adapting existing Google services to mission requirements, designing and developing Python code to expose APIs, managing and debugging microservice containers in Kubernetes environments, and acting as an interface between customer developers and internal engineering teams.

The role requires an active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph, indicating the sensitive nature of the work. Experience with cloud computing systems, full-stack development, and excellent cloud debugging skills are preferred.

Google Public Sector offers a competitive salary range of $161,000-$239,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
