Description For Application Engineer, ASCII, Supply Chain

Google's Business Systems Integration team is seeking an Application Engineer to help streamline internal processes and remove roadblocks to progress. This role combines technical expertise with business process optimization, focusing on implementing and customizing enterprise software solutions for Google's Supply Chain operations.

As an Application Engineer in the ASCII Supply Chain team, you'll work at the intersection of technology and business operations, translating Googler needs into technical solutions that enhance efficiency across the organization. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing applications using various platforms and technologies, with a particular focus on Supply Chain and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in Python/Java programming, experience with web services technology, and a track record of successful enterprise software implementations. Responsibilities For Application Engineer, ASCII, Supply Chain

  • Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve internal business processes
  • Identify, assess, estimate, and solve complex business issues, where analysis of situations/scenarios or data requires an evaluation of variable factors including security
  • Develop, build, and deploy applications using various platforms and technologies. Work with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Maintain the development practices including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing modular, and self-sustaining code

Requirements For Application Engineer, ASCII, Supply Chain

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in business application development/implementation
