Description For Application Engineer II, SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics

Google is seeking an Application Engineer II for their SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics team. This role involves leading all aspects of web development, from requirements gathering to implementation and maintenance of both in-house and customer-facing web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input.

Key responsibilities include scaling out Google's financial data built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Core technology, processing billions of records per hour, and serving Google finance's most time-sensitive and critical processes. The data warehouse will serve as a foundation for the next generation analytics platform, delivering reconciled financial reporting and leveraging the latest in data science/Machine Learning (ML) to forecast and optimize Google's financial operations.

The ideal candidate should have experience with SAP and ABAP, as well as expertise in SAP Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing technology stack and tools. They will be involved in the entire lifecycle of SAP business intelligence projects, from requirements analysis to issue resolution.

This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to Google's financial data infrastructure. The position comes with a competitive salary range of $102,000-$150,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits, depending on location and other factors.

Responsibilities For Application Engineer II, SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics

  • Have SAP and Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) skills
  • Participate in the lifecycle of SAP business intelligence projects
  • Plan, prioritize, implement and deliver investigative reporting systems using SAP, ABAP, SAP Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing technology stack and tools
  • Work with third party vendor products teams (SAP and partners) to resolve issues
  • Apply SAP technical, domain, and Business Intelligence (BI) expertise across SAP, first party, and other third party systems

Requirements For Application Engineer II, SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with Python
  • Experience using Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP)
