Google is seeking an Application Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure team, focusing on Supply Chain and Logistics systems. This role combines software engineering expertise with business process implementation, requiring strong Java development skills and experience with enterprise systems integration.

The position involves leading web development initiatives and maintaining critical infrastructure that powers Google's operations. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support Google's technology lifecycle, collaboration systems, and business intelligence platforms. Responsibilities For Application Engineer, Supply Chain, Logistics

  • Write clear, modular, structured, and self-sustaining codes
  • Develop overall systems design, research, and evaluate vendor supplied applications
  • Help design, build, and deploy internal business applications
  • Conduct and oversee testing of application modules
  • Design, develop and run systems that automate Alphabet's supply chain
  • Integrate Google's systems with Alphabet's internal systems and third-party logistics providers

Requirements For Application Engineer, Supply Chain, Logistics

Java
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with Java
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or in a related technical field (preferred)
  • Experience implementing, customizing and integrating third-party applications within Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, or similar industries (preferred)
  • Ability to participate in multiple full system implementation life cycles
  • Excellent people management, communication, and problem-solving skills
