Description For Associate Corporate Counsel, Technical Infrastructure, Supply Chain

As Corporate Counsel at Google, you'll be at the forefront of tackling exciting legal challenges in the tech industry. This role focuses on complex commercial transactions in Technical Infrastructure, particularly Cloud supply chain, including procurement, manufacturing, construction, logistics, and operations. You'll also support deals for telecommunications network acquisition, energy and hardware procurement, and data center operations.

Working with Google Legal means crafting innovative approaches to address the toughest legal challenges of the information age. You'll be part of a dynamic team that operates at the intersection of law and cutting-edge technology, helping Google build innovative products for users worldwide. The role offers exposure to practically every department throughout Google and close involvement in new product development and launches.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing and negotiating various commercial agreements, from purchase agreements to telecommunications capacity agreements and supply chain contracts. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and executives, translating complex legal concepts into practical business applications. The position requires strong expertise in intellectual property and commercial contract law, particularly in areas like hardware development, supply chain logistics, and data center operations.

The role offers competitive compensation ($195,000-$293,000 + bonus + equity + benefits) and the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in both legal and tech fields. The position requires at least 3 years of attorney-level experience and active bar membership in the state of practice.

Responsibilities For Associate Corporate Counsel, Technical Infrastructure, Supply Chain

  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Respond to legal requests from supervising attorneys, product managers, engineers, and executives
  • Coordinate across internal legal teams on infrastructure-related matters
  • Provide strategic counsel for TI business teams
  • Guide internal partners on legal issues and risks associated with technical infrastructure

Requirements For Associate Corporate Counsel, Technical Infrastructure, Supply Chain

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm
  • Experience with intellectual property or commercial contract law
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in the state of position
  • Semiconductor experience or software licensing in a technology context (preferred)
  • Knowledge of IP law issues (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to complete simultaneous projects on deadline (preferred)
  • Exceptional people skills and commitment to professionalism (preferred)
