Description For Auto White Balance Tuning Engineer

Google's Devices & Services team is seeking an Auto White Balance Tuning Engineer to join their innovative hardware development team. This role combines expertise in image processing, algorithm development, and software engineering to enhance Google Pixel camera capabilities. You'll work on developing and optimizing auto white balance algorithms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve image quality and user experience.

Responsibilities For Auto White Balance Tuning Engineer

  • Invent Auto White Balance (AWB) algorithm functions suitable with different camera sensors and modules
  • Set up tuning strategies and required tests for validating image tuning
  • Manage final image quality tuning of Android camera products
  • Evaluate the AWB architectural design and algorithms for digital photography
  • Work with 3A/ISP development team and stakeholders
  • Develop automation structure, simulator and tool to empower tuning efficiency

Requirements For Auto White Balance Tuning Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience working in a Auto White Balance technical environment, or an advanced degree
  • Experience coding in C/C++, Java or Python
  • English proficiency is required
