Description For Business Program Manager, Data Centers

Google is seeking a Business Program Manager for their Data Centers division in Frankfurt, Germany. This role is crucial in overseeing maintenance agreements of Data Center related systems and managing various aspects of operations. The position involves leading cost control, contractor management, and procurement projects while collaborating with various departments including Environment, Health, and Safety.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll be responsible for leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders across different offices, time zones, and hemispheres. The role requires strong coordination skills and the ability to keep all parties updated on progress and deadlines.

The Technical Infrastructure team, which this role supports, is fundamental to keeping Google's services running smoothly. They develop and maintain data centers and build next-generation Google platforms, ensuring users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting risk assessments, facilitating supplier onboarding, and leading budget development. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor relationships, local authority requirements, budgeting, and forecasting, along with strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities For Business Program Manager, Data Centers

  • Manage an overview of project goals and deliverables presented on a timeline and use the roadmap to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Collaborate with team members or stakeholders to understand or identify work problems and program goals
  • Conduct complete risk identification, risk assessment activities and develop mitigation plans
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring they receive assistance in the local language
  • Lead annual budget development aligning with the objectives

Requirements For Business Program Manager, Data Centers

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
  • Experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable within accounting and experience in Vendor Management
  • Experience with local tax and administration
