Description For Business Program Manager, Global Data Centers

Google is seeking a Business Program Manager for their Global Data Centers team to play a crucial role in supporting facilities technicians and managing maintenance agreements for facility-related systems. This position is part of the Technical Infrastructure team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining Google's data centers and building next-generation platforms.

The role involves managing cost control and contractor management for maintenance tasks and small projects, while working closely with the site environment, health and safety department. You'll ensure contractors deliver quality services according to agreed KPIs and safety measures are properly implemented.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders across different offices, time zones, and hemispheres. You'll be responsible for planning requirements, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and maintaining clear communication with cross-functional partners.

The position offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $70,500-$106,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Business Program Manager, Global Data Centers

  • Deliver effective, strategic communications directed toward a variety of stakeholder groups/audiences
  • Partner with and support cross-functional teams and stakeholders with direct guidance
  • Assist with developing strategic programs; act as an authority in the domain within team
  • Collaborate with team members or key stakeholders to understand or identify work problems and program goals
  • Obtain facilities-related vendor price quotes, prepare purchase orders, and review or approve invoices

Requirements For Business Program Manager, Global Data Centers

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience in accounting and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Experience in stakeholder management (preferred)
  • Experience in providing support for budgeting, forecasting and purchase orders (preferred)
  • Experience with project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, or process documentation (preferred)
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, be adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment, and manage engaging priorities (preferred)
