Google's Health and Home team is seeking a Chief of Staff to drive strategic initiatives at the intersection of AI, Software, and Hardware. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of Fitbit/Health and Nest/Home products, working directly with Software Engineering leaders to optimize portfolio planning and organizational effectiveness.
The position requires a seasoned professional with 15 years of experience in management consulting, product management, or analytics within the tech industry. You'll be responsible for facilitating roadmap planning, resource utilization, and process improvement initiatives that enhance engineering velocity and decision-making across the organization.
As Chief of Staff, you'll partner with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional communications, and establish efficient business processes. The role demands excellent analytical capabilities, strong program management skills, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.

Responsibilities For Chief of Staff, Health and Home, Software
- Partner with the Software leadership team to set strategy and goals for the organization
- Track progress, assess leading or lagging indicators, and provide data-motivated recommendations to leadership
- Manage communications to the organization
- Work across functions to provide a consistent narrative and identify touch-points to cascade including team forums, on-sites, etc
- Partner with the Program Management leadership to establish processes and tools for managing the business cadence
- Serve as a partner for executive leaders on projects ranging from team organization structure to business selection support
- Develop strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements For Chief of Staff, Health and Home, Software
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 15 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company
- Experience in working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects
- Experience in working with consumer product engineering teams
- Experience in testing the status quo and supporting the development of successful products
- Experience in collaborating with executive leaders
- Ability to manage time and navigate ambiguity
- Excellent thinking, problem solving, investigative and program management skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
