Description For Chip Infrastructure Engineer, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Chip Infrastructure Engineer to join their diverse team that develops custom silicon solutions powering Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role focuses on infrastructure that enables design and verification teams to produce chips powering Google's computing needs. As part of the chip infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for compute, storage, common chip design components, and front-end tool flows.

You'll work closely with architects, logic designers, and verification engineers to develop flows for building and verifying System on Chip (SoC) designs. Collaboration extends to software, physical design, silicon bring-up, and validation teams to ensure successful software integration, implementation, and quality silicon delivery.

The Technical Infrastructure team at Google builds and maintains the architecture behind everything users see online. From data centers to next-generation Google platforms, this team makes Google's product portfolio possible. The team takes pride in being engineers' engineers, maintaining networks for optimal user experience, and isn't afraid to void warranties by taking things apart to rebuild them better.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You'll be contributing to innovations behind products used by millions worldwide, working in a fast-paced environment focused on infrastructure development for chip design and verification teams.

The position requires strong technical expertise in chip design infrastructure, methodology, and physical implementation, combined with excellent collaborative skills to work effectively across multiple teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about custom silicon development and infrastructure optimization in one of the world's leading technology companies.
