Description For Cloud Architect Infrastructure

Google Cloud Professional Services is seeking a Cloud Architect Infrastructure professional to join their Global Services Delivery team. This role is crucial in guiding customers through their cloud transformation journey using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The position involves providing technical guidance on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning, and cloud-ready architectures.

As a Cloud Architect, you'll work directly with customers to design and implement enterprise cloud solutions, focusing on infrastructure modernization and migration strategies. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders, from customer technical leads to Google's product teams, ensuring successful cloud adoption and implementation.

The role requires strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly with GCP services, along with excellent communication and consulting skills. You'll be responsible for planning and executing cloud migration projects, providing architectural recommendations, and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Google Cloud serves customers in over 200 countries, providing cutting-edge technology solutions that help businesses digitally transform. This position offers the opportunity to work with Google's global network, web-scale data centers, and sophisticated software infrastructure, directly impacting how businesses evolve and connect with their stakeholders.

Responsibilities For Cloud Architect Infrastructure

  • Engage in collaborative effort with stakeholders to interpret client requirements and provide recommendations
  • Collaborate with customer technical leads, client managers, and partners to plan and execute cloud migration projects
  • Work with Google GCP specialists, product development teams, and engineering divisions
  • Engage with Google Cloud sales representatives, partners, and customer technical stakeholders
  • Provide comprehensive solutions and execute the deployment of cloud-based distributed infrastructure solutions

Requirements For Cloud Architect Infrastructure

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, developer operations, continuous integration, or delivery
  • Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (preferred)
  • Experience in GKE migration, GCVE migration, network design, data migration strategies, VM migration to GCE (preferred)
  • Experience setting up Google Cloud foundations involving networking and security setup (preferred)
  • Experience in writing Infrastructure-as-code using terraform scripting (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills (preferred)
