Description For Cloud Compute Frontend Engineering Manager, Core Compute Experience

Google Cloud is seeking a Frontend Engineering Manager to lead the Core Compute Experience team, which is responsible for managing the user experience of critical Google Compute Engine products. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing a team that works on VM Instances, Templates, Machine Images, Metadata, Committed User Discounts, Reservations, and Cloud TPU user experience.

As a Frontend Engineering Manager, you'll be at the helm of Compute Engine's user interface development, which generates the largest portion of business in Cloud. Your team will focus on delivering comprehensive, responsive, and intuitive workflows that enable users to achieve their goals efficiently. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise in frontend development and leadership skills to guide and grow a team of engineers.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of software development experience, with particular depth in frontend development and web applications. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical leadership capabilities, including 3+ years of experience leading project teams and setting technical direction. Your role will involve mentoring engineers, establishing technical guidelines, implementing best practices, and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

This position offers an attractive compensation package ranging from $189,000 to $284,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
