Description For Cloud Developer Advocate, Data Cloud

Google is seeking a Cloud Developer Advocate for their Data Cloud division, a role that bridges the gap between the developer community and Google's cloud database technologies. This position combines technical expertise with community engagement, requiring someone who can both understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to others.

The role involves being a key voice for the developer community within Google, helping shape products and features based on real-world developer needs. You'll be working with cutting-edge cloud database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra, while building and maintaining relationships with technical communities.

The ideal candidate brings 5 years of technical experience, with specific expertise in cloud computing and databases. You should be comfortable with public speaking, technical writing, and community building. This role offers competitive compensation ($142,000-$211,000) plus bonus and equity, and the opportunity to work from several major tech hubs including New York, Seattle, and San Francisco.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about both technology and community building, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies while helping shape the future of Google's developer ecosystem. You'll be part of a company known for innovation and technical excellence, with the resources and scale to make a significant impact on the cloud computing landscape.
