Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect for their Public Sector Rapid Innovation Team. This role combines full-stack development expertise with cloud architecture, focusing on creating innovative solutions for government and educational institutions.

The position requires working at the intersection of customer needs and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities, developing prototypes and translating them into scalable solutions. You'll be responsible for conducting solutions workshops, gathering requirements, and creating end-to-end roadmaps for customers. The role demands expertise in full-stack development, with proficiency in languages like Python, JavaScript, and React.

As part of Google Public Sector, you'll contribute to digital transformation initiatives for local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as educational institutions. The team is expanding significantly to meet the complex needs of public sector clients, offering opportunities for growth and impact.

The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $147,000-$216,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll work in either Reston, VA, or Washington D.C., requiring an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.

Key responsibilities include overseeing technical delivery excellence, leading customer-facing workshops, developing full-stack prototypes, and creating cross-platform architectures. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in customer-facing cloud solutions, strong architectural skills, and experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Responsibilities For Cloud Solutions Architect, Rapid Innovation Team

  • Oversee technical delivery excellence, exceptional customer satisfaction, and accurate estimation of customer outcomes
  • Lead customer-facing solutions workshops to gather requirements to deliver back to the customer an end-to-end roadmap
  • Scope and develop full-stack prototypes leveraging the GCP portfolio that solve a wide-ranging set of problems that are delivered in 6 weeks or less
  • Institutionalize agile methodologies in the delivery of the full-stack prototypes
  • Develop architectures that include cross-platform technologies to be incorporated into business plays and subscription agreements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in customer-facing services focused on translating enterprise customer needs into cloud solutions
  • Experience as an architect or software development engineer in cloud computing in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in packaging code and other artifacts for customers and internal teams
  • Experience with full-stack development utilizing programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, React, etc
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance (TS/SCI) or eligibility
