Google Cloud Platform team is seeking a Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer for Apigee. This role involves managing customer problems, developing knowledge of Google's product technology, acting as a consultant for internal stakeholders, understanding and advocating for customer needs, and working as part of a global team to ensure 24-hour customer support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and resolving customer issues on Google Cloud Platform products
- Troubleshooting and determining root causes for customer-reported issues
- Building tools for faster diagnosis
- Consulting with internal teams to resolve technical deployment obstacles
- Improving Google Cloud based on customer feedback
- Working non-standard hours or shifts as part of a global support team
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of coding experience in languages like Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, or JavaScript
- 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and customer advocacy
- Preferably 2 years of experience with Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Systems Admin, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, or SAP
- Experience in technical consulting for large enterprise customers
- Familiarity with cloud computing
