Responsibilities For Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Google Cloud's Data analytics products (like BigQuery, Dataproc, etc.) and underlying architectures
- Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, customer organizations
- Work as part of a team of engineers/consultants that globally ensure 24-hour customer support
- Understand customer issues, advocate for their needs with internal teams, including product and engineering teams and drive high-quality production
Requirements For Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience reading or debugging code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript)
- 2 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues
- Experience in data analytics, warehousing, ETL development, data science, or other Big Data applications
- Experience with SQL database administration, open source software communities, Cloud networking solutions, or distributed computing
- Experience with open source distributed storage and processing utilities in the Apache Hadoop family or workflow orchestration products
- Understanding of web technologies and TCP/IP concepts, Unix/Linux basic administration and commands
- Excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, and communication skills in a fluid environment
