Responsibilities For Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer, Kubernetes

  • Work with customers on their production Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Anthos deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Google Cloud's GKE/Anthos product technology and underlying architectures
  • Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
  • Work as part of a team of engineers/consultants that globally ensure 24-hour customer support
  • Understand customer issues, advocate for their needs with internal teams

Requirements For Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer, Kubernetes

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience coding in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go or JavaScript, etc.) or in system design
  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues
  • 2 years of experience with operating systems, from the kernel to the shell, file systems, and client-server protocols
  • Experience in Computer Networking (TCP/IP, Routing, Load balancing, etc.)
  • Experience with exploratory kernel debugging and performance analysis of containerized systems
  • Experience debugging workload issues across global, multi-node environments
  • Experience with basic web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, etc.)
  • Experience working with any public cloud like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and infrastructure
