Description For CPU Technical Program Manager

Google is seeking a CPU Technical Program Manager to join their team that combines AI, Software, and Hardware innovation. This role requires a seasoned professional with 8+ years of experience in CPU/SoC engineering and program management. The ideal candidate will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating between various teams including architecture, design, verification, and physical design.

The position involves managing critical aspects of CPU development from pre-silicon to post-silicon execution through commercial launch. You'll be responsible for facilitating inter-discipline discussions, coordinating communication across multiple geographical locations, and ensuring program quality and timely delivery.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll leverage your technical expertise in processor micro-architecture, design flows, and emulation technologies. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. The role requires someone who can communicate effectively with both executives and engineers about technical aspects of product development.

Responsibilities For CPU Technical Program Manager

  • Motivate inter-discipline discussions at the project level. Coordinate among architecture, design, design verification, emulation, and physical design teams
  • Coordinate regular communication meetings at various levels and across multiple geographical locations
  • Host issue triage and resolution meetings at the project level
  • Ensure programs are executed at the best level for quality and schedule
  • Motivate or manage program CPU-SoC integration for timeliness, quality for pre-silicon and post silicon execution till commercial launch

Requirements For CPU Technical Program Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 Years of experience with CPU/CPU-Subsystem/System on a Chip (SoC) Engineering or CPU program management
  • 8 years of experience in program management
  • Experience with modern processor micro-architecture, processor design flows, and emulation technologies
  • Experience with the effect of power and thermal constraints (preferred)
  • Experience with industry standard CPU benchmarks (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) Flow (preferred)
  • Knowledge of ARM Instruction Set Architecture (preferred)
