Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in AI/ML to join their team in Germany. This role combines technical expertise in machine learning with customer-facing responsibilities, making it perfect for those who excel in both technical implementation and communication.

As a Customer Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of helping organizations leverage Google Cloud's AI/ML capabilities. You'll work closely with technical sales teams, serving as a subject matter expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Your role will involve developing creative cloud solutions, conducting proofs of concept, and helping customers overcome technical challenges.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of experience in cloud native architecture, along with deep knowledge of machine learning model development and deployment. You'll need to be fluent in German to effectively communicate with stakeholders and manage client relationships. Experience with major deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX is essential.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (German)

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Share in-depth AI/ML expertise to support the technical relationship with customers
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (German)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience with Machine Learning model development and deployment
  • Experience with frameworks for deep learning (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, Jax, Ray, etc.) and using machine learning APIs
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders with the ability to communicate fluently in German
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
  • Experience in building machine learning solutions and leveraging specific machine learning architectures (preferred)
  • Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems (preferred)
  • Experience in data and information management related to big data trends (preferred)
