Description For Customer Engineer, Chrome Operating System

As a Customer Engineer for Chrome Operating System at Google, you will play a crucial role in equipping companies with Google tools to enhance workplace technology. Your focus will be on making technology more equitable, simple, secure, and shareable, allowing businesses to concentrate on their core priorities. You'll inspire leading companies and government agencies to adopt smarter work practices through Chrome Enterprise, leveraging cloud or web-first strategies and advanced Enterprise capabilities for administrative controls.

This customer-facing position requires fluency in Korean for interactions with local stakeholders. You'll be responsible for identifying customer needs, developing solution proposals, and working closely with the Sales team to accelerate the adoption of Chrome Enterprise. Your role involves presenting to technology leadership audiences, resolving technical objections, and making recommendations on integration strategies, security, and device management policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying business and technical requirements of customers
  2. Collecting and analyzing customer feedback to guide future product direction
  3. Developing and presenting solution proposals
  4. Guiding companies, partners, and government agencies in transitioning to Chrome Enterprise
  5. Resolving technical impediments and objections
  6. Leading technical aspects of solution evaluations, including product briefings and proof-of-concept facilitation

To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in a pre-sales engineer or similar partner-facing role. Preferred qualifications include experience with managed endpoint devices, Enterprise Mobility Management solutions, public cloud platforms, software deployment for enterprises, and familiarity with localization issues such as Korean IME and keyboard mapping.
