Description For Customer Engineer, Chrome Operating System

Google is seeking a Customer Engineer for their Chrome Operating System team in Seoul, South Korea. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping organizations implement and optimize Chrome Enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pre-sales engineering, enterprise mobility management, and cloud solutions. They will work closely with sales teams to drive adoption of Chrome Enterprise products, including Chrome Browser, Chrome OS, and management capabilities.

The position requires strong technical knowledge of endpoint device management, cloud platforms, and enterprise software deployment. A key aspect of the role involves working directly with Korean stakeholders, making local language proficiency essential. The engineer will be responsible for understanding customer needs, developing technical solutions, and ensuring successful implementation of Chrome Enterprise products.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Chrome Operating System

  • Identify customers business and technical requirements
  • Deliver and devise solution proposals supporting value statements
  • Work with Sales team to guide transition to Chrome Enterprise
  • Identify key customer technical objections and develop resolution strategies
  • Lead technical aspects of solution evaluations including product briefings and POCs

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Chrome Operating System

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience working in a pre-sales engineer or similar partner facing role
  • Experience with managed endpoint devices and browser-based applications
  • Experience with Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)/Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
  • Experience with Public Cloud platforms
  • Experience architecting and supporting software deployment for enterprises
  • Experience with localization issues handling such as Korean IME and keyboard mapping
  • Korean language proficiency required for stakeholder interactions
