Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in Finance and Data Management to join their team in São Paulo. This role combines technical expertise in cloud architecture and database management with customer-facing responsibilities. As a Customer Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of technical solutions and business strategy, helping financial sector clients leverage Google Cloud's capabilities.

The position requires a strong foundation in cloud native architecture and database administration, with 6 years of experience in customer-facing or support roles. You'll be responsible for understanding customer technical requirements, developing solutions, and serving as a subject matter expert in data management. The role involves collaborating with Technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud's offerings and helping customers understand and implement cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, resolving technical blockers, sharing database knowledge, and supporting technical relationships with customers. You'll be involved in proof-of-concept work, product briefings, and partnering with product management to drive customer adoption. The role requires fluency in both Portuguese and English, as you'll be engaging with stakeholders at various levels.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Finance, Data Management, Google Cloud

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Share storage and database knowledge to support the technical relationship with customers
  • Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Finance, Data Management, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture, including database administration and solutions, in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience in supporting customers in the finance/banking industry
  • Experience working with Databases, Web Technologies, Machine Learning, AI, or Cloud Foundations
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Portuguese and English
