Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in Gemini Code Assist to join their growing team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping organizations leverage Google's AI-powered code assistance tools. As a Customer Engineer, you'll work directly with technical business teams as a Gemini Code Assist subject matter expert, helping customers understand and implement AI-assisted software development tooling.

The position requires deep technical knowledge in software development, cloud technologies, and AI tools, along with strong consulting and communication skills. You'll be responsible for demonstrating the power of Gemini code assist, explaining technical differentiators, and helping customers deploy the tool in their development ecosystem. Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Gemini Code Assist, Google Cloud

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understanding key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Support the technical relationship with Google's customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work
  • Create and deliver technical content to enable customers and internal teams to leverage Google Cloud Code Assist tool
  • Travel to customer locations and represent Google Cloud at conferences, meetups, and other industry events

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in modernizing legacy applications and applying cloud native development methodologies and tools, including container technology
  • Experience with software development, code technology migrations programs, code version migrations
  • Experience in one or more languages/frameworks Python, Java, GoLang, JavaScript, Typescript, PyTorch, and Jupyter/Colab notebooks
  • Experience with popular frameworks springboot, Model-View-Controller (MVC) frameworks
