Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer to join their Greenfield division, focusing on helping organizations leverage cloud computing solutions. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring 4 years of experience in cloud computing environments. The position involves working closely with technical sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities, develop creative solutions, and guide customers through their cloud adoption journey.

As a Customer Engineer, you'll be instrumental in helping customers understand and implement Google Cloud solutions, conducting proof-of-concepts, and resolving technical challenges. The role requires expertise in cloud computing, architecture design, and implementing distributed systems. You'll work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, address technical objections, and develop strategies for customer success.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Greenfield, Google Cloud

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work
  • Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Greenfield, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in cloud computing, cloud market, competitive dynamics, and customer buying behaviours, along with public Cloud (GCP)
  • Experience in design, architecture, and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems and cloud native applications
