Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer II to join their Early Stage Startups team, playing a crucial role in helping startups leverage Google Cloud's powerful solutions. This position combines technical expertise with customer relationship management, requiring 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture and customer-facing roles.

The role involves working closely with technical Sales teams to introduce Google Cloud to early-stage startup customers, developing cloud solutions, and architecting solutions to address business challenges. You'll be responsible for demonstrating product integrations, conducting proof-of-concepts, and resolving technical roadblocks.

As a Customer Engineer, you'll serve as a technical advisor, sharing in-depth Google Cloud expertise and supporting customers throughout their cloud journey. The position requires strong communication skills to engage with both technical stakeholders and executive leaders, as well as the ability to prospect and build customer relationships from scratch.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $134,000 to $198,000 base salary, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Google offers a collaborative work environment across multiple locations including Sunnyvale, Austin, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities in the early startup ecosystem
  • Share in-depth Google Cloud expertise to support technical relationship with customers
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
  • Lead prospecting and acquisition of new logos, creating and building customer relationships
