Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer II focused on Early Stage Startups to join their dynamic team. This role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management, specifically targeting the startup ecosystem. You'll be instrumental in helping organizations leverage Google Cloud's cutting-edge technology for their digital transformation journey.

As a Customer Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of technical solutions and business development, partnering with technical Business teams to showcase the power of Google Cloud to customers across the startup ecosystem. Your responsibilities will span from developing creative cloud solutions and architectures to engaging in proofs-of-concept and troubleshooting technical challenges.

The ideal candidate will bring 6 years of cloud architecture experience in customer-facing roles, along with deep knowledge of security concepts, application migration, and the startup ecosystem. You'll need excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills to effectively serve as a technical generalist, covering areas from infrastructure modernization to data analytics.

This role offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $125,000-$183,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be part of Google's mission to accelerate digital transformation across industries, working with customers in more than 200 countries and territories who trust Google Cloud as their partner for growth and innovation.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer II, Early Stage Startups, Google Cloud

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Share in-depth Google Cloud expertise to support technical relationship with customers
  • Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer environments
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
  • Lead and prospect the acquisitions of new logos, create and build customer relationships

Requirements For Customer Engineer II, Early Stage Startups, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience with cloud architectures in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing
  • Experience in prospecting, building and maintaining new customer relationships
  • Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms
  • Experience working with the startup ecosystem
