Google Public Sector is seeking a Customer Engineer II to join their Federal Civilian team. As a Customer Engineer, you'll work closely with Technical Sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities to clients. You'll be instrumental in helping customers design and implement cloud architectures, engaging in proof of concepts, and resolving technical challenges.

The role offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $218,000 to $306,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. This is a hybrid position with multiple location options including Reston, VA, Boulder, CO, and Washington D.C., with remote work possibilities in Colorado.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture in a customer-facing role, strong presentation skills, and experience working with federal civilian customers. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like FedRAMP or FISMA is highly valued, as is experience with geospatial information systems and solutions.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer II, Federal Civilian, Public Sector

  • Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions to meet gathered requirements
  • Lead technical projects, technology advocacy, support bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources
  • Deliver product messaging for the Google Cloud Platform by using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents
  • Drive recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure to implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud platform effectiveness
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other events as needed
