Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in Infrastructure Modernisation to join their team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture. As a Customer Engineer, you'll work closely with technical Sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities, develop innovative cloud solutions, and help customers overcome technical challenges. You'll be responsible for conducting technical assessments, providing architectural recommendations, and supporting customers throughout their cloud adoption journey. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while helping organizations across various industries digitally transform their businesses. Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Infrastructure Modernisation, Google Cloud

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Share in-depth enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastruction and application modernization
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Infrastructure Modernisation, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms
  • Experience in, or supporting, digital native clients
