As a Customer Engineer, you'll work closely with the Sales team to introduce Google Cloud to customers, helping them understand and implement cloud solutions. You'll be responsible for developing creative solutions, providing technical guidance, and helping overcome implementation challenges. The role involves working with both prospective and existing customers to architect solutions that leverage Google Cloud's cutting-edge technology.

The ideal candidate will have 6 years of experience in infrastructure modernization, with expertise in areas such as cloud migration, disaster recovery, and virtualization. A deep understanding of cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, databases, and networking concepts, is essential. The role also requires strong communication skills as you'll be leading technical discussions and designing cloud adoption plans.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Infrastructure Modernization, Google Cloud

  • Inspire customers and peers to solve difficult problems with novel solutions
  • Manage the Go-to-Market strategy from a technical perspective
  • Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations
  • Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events, as needed

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Infrastructure Modernization, Google Cloud

Kubernetes

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience planning infrastructure modernization as a technical consultant, technical pre-sales engineer, or enterprise architect
  • Experience in cloud migration, data center migration, disaster recovery, virtualization, application/servers assessment/discovery
  • Experience in leading IT discussions and design cloud adoption plans
  • Understanding of virtualization and networking concepts
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts
