Description For Customer Engineer, Security, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in Security to join their team. This role combines technical expertise in cloud security with customer-facing responsibilities, making it ideal for professionals who excel in both technical implementation and relationship management.

As a Security Customer Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of helping organizations implement and optimize their cloud security solutions. You'll work closely with Google Cloud's Security Sales teams to identify opportunities, resolve technical challenges, and demonstrate the value of Google Cloud's security products to customers and partners.

The role requires a deep understanding of enterprise security solutions, including SIEM/SOAR, threat detection, malware intelligence, and cloud security posture management. You'll be responsible for delivering technical presentations, managing proofs-of-concept, and ensuring customer success in implementing security solutions.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Security, Google Cloud

  • Work with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities
  • Work with Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships
  • Own technical aspects of solutions, deliver technical presentations, product briefings, and demos
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging through presentations, demonstrations, white papers
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Security, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience as technical sales engineer in cloud computing or similar customer-facing role
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Certification in Cloud or Security industry (preferred)
  • Experience implementing security solutions for enterprises
  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends in cybersecurity industry
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
