Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Customer Engineering Manager to lead their enterprise cloud solutions team in Seoul. This role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring 10 years of pre-sales engineering experience and fluency in both English and Korean. The position involves leading a team of engineering professionals, engaging with business prospects, and driving solution innovation for Google Cloud Platform's enterprise customers.

The role is integral to Google Cloud's mission of helping businesses transform through cloud technology. You'll be responsible for managing and developing a team of Customer Engineers, working closely with sales teams to identify and pursue business opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The position requires deep technical expertise in cloud computing, distributed systems, and enterprise software, combined with strong leadership and communication skills.

As a Customer Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of cloud technology, working with Google's cutting-edge solutions that serve customers in more than 150 countries. Responsibilities For Customer Engineering Manager, Enterprise, Google Cloud (English, Korean)

  • Work with business management team to determine proper staffing levels to support annual goals
  • Train and equip the Customer Engineering (CE) team
  • Assess team's Go-To-Market (GTM) readiness, identify gaps and build plans
  • Work with the Cloud Sales team and leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize coverage for business opportunities
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through working with internal teams to resolve product problems

Requirements For Customer Engineering Manager, Enterprise, Google Cloud (English, Korean)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer at an enterprise technology company, or in a similar customer-facing role
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently
  • Experience with software life-cycles, building tools, developing software for scalable, distributed systems
  • Experience with data platform, AI/ML and infrastructure
  • Experience managing a team through business processes, operations and career development
