Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Customer Engineering Manager to lead their enterprise initiatives in Seoul, South Korea. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, requiring fluency in both English and Korean. The position involves leading a team of engineering professionals while engaging directly with customers and prospects to drive cloud technology adoption.

The role is situated within Google's rapidly growing cloud business, where you'll play a crucial part in shaping how businesses of all sizes leverage technology. You'll be responsible for leading a team that assesses customer requirements, presents Google Cloud technologies, and addresses technical objections. Responsibilities For Customer Engineering Manager, Enterprise, Google Cloud (English, Korean)

  • Work with business management team to determine proper staffing levels to support annual goals
  • Train and equip the Customer Engineering (CE) team
  • Assess team's Go-To-Market (GTM) readiness, identify gaps and build plans
  • Work with the Cloud Sales team and leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize coverage for business opportunities
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through working with internal teams to resolve product problems

Requirements For Customer Engineering Manager, Enterprise, Google Cloud (English, Korean)

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer at an enterprise technology company, or in a similar customer-facing role
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently
  • Experience with software life-cycles, building tools, developing software for scalable, distributed systems
  • Experience with data platform, AI/ML and infrastructure
  • Experience managing a team through business processes, operations and career development
