Description For Customer Engineering Manager, Google Cloud Security Sales

Google Cloud is seeking an experienced Customer Engineering Manager to lead their Security Sales division in North Asia. This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership and strategic business development, requiring a seasoned professional with deep expertise in cybersecurity and cloud technologies.

The position demands a unique blend of technical acumen and leadership skills, requiring 10 years of experience in technical sales engineering within security or cloud environments, along with 7 years of pre-sales cybersecurity expertise. As the Customer Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team while working closely with various stakeholders to drive business growth and customer success.

This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud security solutions at one of the world's leading technology companies. You'll be part of Google Cloud's mission to accelerate digital transformation across industries, serving customers in over 200 countries. The position requires strong technical knowledge of security solutions like SIEM, SOAR, SecOps, and cloud security posture management, combined with excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

You'll be responsible for developing executive relationships, delivering technical presentations, and acting as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and customers.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Customer Engineering team in North Asia
  • Work with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify business opportunities
  • Build and develop executive relationships and technical experts in strategic accounts
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and deliver technical presentations
  • Act as a trusted advisor for Sales leaders, product management, and engineering

Requirements For Customer Engineering Manager, Google Cloud Security Sales

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in technical sales engineering in security or cloud native environments
  • 7 years of experience in vendor pre-sales cybersecurity
  • 5 years of experience as a team lead or people management
  • Experience with IT technologies and security solutions (SIEM, SOAR, SecOps, etc.)
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks (MITRE, NIST, FAIR, CMMC)
  • Experience implementing security solutions for enterprises
