Description For Customer Engineering Specialist, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineering Specialist to join their team in Shanghai. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture. As a Customer Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of technical sales and customer success, helping organizations leverage Google Cloud's capabilities for digital transformation.

The position involves partnering with technical sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud solutions, developing creative cloud architectures, and engaging in proof of concepts. You'll be responsible for building advisory relationships with strategic accounts, working directly with high-level executives including CTOs and CIOs. Responsibilities For Customer Engineering Specialist, Google Cloud

  • Build an advisory relationship with strategic accounts and engage with Architects, Vice President of developing, Chief Technology Officers, and Chief Information Officers
  • Provide domain knowledge around public cloud and enterprise technology in the industry, and promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online
  • Make recommendations on the integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a solution
  • Manage the enterprise architecture relationship with customers by collaborating with specialists, product management, developing, etc
  • Identify customer priorities, technical objections, and design strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business growth and resolve blockers

Requirements For Customer Engineering Specialist, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience designing/architecting infrastructure farms
  • Experience with performance profiling tools
  • Experience with distributed training and optimizing performance
  • Ability to engage with C-level or executive business leaders and influence decisions
