Google's gTech Ads team is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to join their dynamic organization responsible for support and media and technical services across the entire Ad products stack. This role combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, requiring both strong engineering skills and business acumen.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and business, helping customers maximize their return on investment with Google's advertising products. You'll be part of gTech, a crucial team that brings Google's products to life through technical implementation and customer support.

As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you'll manage technical relationships with key clients, design and implement complex, cross-product solutions, and work closely with Sales teams to identify business opportunities. The role requires a strong technical background with at least 3 years of coding experience in languages like Python, Java, or Go, combined with excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

The position offers exposure to Google's entire Ad products stack and the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams globally. You'll be responsible for providing technical guidance, implementing customized solutions, and handling escalations for named accounts. Responsibilities For Customer Solutions Engineer, gTech

  • Manage technical relationships with a select client portfolio
  • Work with Sales to identify business opportunities leveraging both performance, display, video and shopping solutions supported by the team
  • Collect requirements, provide guidance and best practices to apply ad products and technologies to achieve advertisers' partners' business goals
  • Design and implement complex, cross-product customized solutions with the client
  • Be responsible for implementations and escalations handled by other Google teams for named accounts

Requirements For Customer Solutions Engineer, gTech

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • 3 years of experience in delivering technical projects
  • Experience partnering/working with cross-functional teams translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences
  • MBA or Master's degree in a related technical field (preferred)
  • Experience in Sales to identify business opportunities (preferred)
  • Experience in design and implement complex, cross-product customized solutions (preferred)
  • English proficiency is required
