Responsibilities For Data Center Electrical Protection and Controls Engineer

  • Provide technical guidance on electrical issues to data center construction teams
  • Provide expert technical support to operations team for large-scale and high voltage/medium voltage electrical power systems
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex programmable logic controller
  • Provide technical feedback and support for Product/Design teams
  • Develop and maintain functional relationships across multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide training support to operations team and participate in outage response

Requirements For Data Center Electrical Protection and Controls Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in programming, commissioning, and operation of mission critical facilities, electrical utilities, and industrial/facility engineering
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and equipment including protective relays, network switches, data concentrators, HMI software packages
  • Experience with 61850 GOOSE/MMS protocols, Switchgear, transformers and generators, digital analog controls
