The Data Center team at Google designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and HVAC systems in the world. As a Data Center Facilities Engineer, Mechanical (English, Japanese), you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting physical facilities conditions in Google's data centers. Your duties will include managing heating and cooling of air and water, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems. You'll inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems, develop creative approaches to reduce operational costs while improving efficiency, and ensure environmental and safety standards are met. In emergency situations, you'll manage performance issues and outages to minimize recovery time. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and fluency in both English and Japanese to support client relationship management in the region.
