Description For Data Center Learning and Development Program Manager

Google is seeking a Data Center Learning and Development Program Manager to join their Compliance Security and Risk Management team. This role is crucial in enhancing staffing resilience and driving operational excellence in data center facilities. The position involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects across offices, time zones, and hemispheres, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, and identify risks.

The role requires a strategic mindset to partner with data center facilities teams, focusing on improving operational excellence from the design phase of new facilities. You'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations of roles and staffing needs, developing resourcing models, and enhancing job-role training programs.

Responsibilities For Data Center Learning and Development Program Manager

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of roles, tasks, and staffing needs, including scenario planning, contingent workforce assessments, and succession planning
  • Develop resourcing models for internal recruitment and outsourcing, and design a training and qualification matrix
  • Partner with Data Center leaders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams, create workforce matrices for planning
  • Build internal networks with SMEs and facility management, proactively leverage expertise
  • Enhance job-role training and certifications for operational resilience, track metrics, conduct scorecard assessments

Requirements For Data Center Learning and Development Program Manager

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience with operational and maintenance business processes
  • Experience streamlining legacy business processes to drive efficiencies
  • Certified in Lean Six Sigma (preferred)
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects (preferred)
  • Experience working in the data center or technology industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and system design methodologies (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines (preferred)
