Responsibilities For Data Center Mechanical Engineer, Thermal Cooling

  • Collaborate with the operations, execution, and construction teams to develop data center (DC) mechanical infrastructure products and systems
  • Innovate and develop next generation mechanical system products to meet company long term strategies
  • Contribute to new technology insertions through collaboration with the core engineering teams during development, and create system level concept and schematics designs, and carry through to detailed designs
  • Provide and prepare all types of documents including, statement of work, engineering analysis and reports, FMEAC (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), design documents, product specifications, drawings, budget, schedule, and commissioning test plans
  • Work with internal architect, mechanical, electrical, and telecom designers to refine mechanical designs based on analysis and provide recommendations to external consultants

Requirements For Data Center Mechanical Engineer, Thermal Cooling

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in developing industrial cooling systems
  • 2 years of experience working with one of the following softwares (e.g., MATLAB, Cadence CFD, AFT Fathom, or Bentley AutoPIPE)
