Google's Data Center Operations team is seeking a Facilities Manager to join their Technical Infrastructure division. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing critical facility operations and team management. The position involves managing sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and HVAC systems in Google's world-class data centers. The manager will lead facility technicians who operate, monitor, and support physical facilities conditions, including heating and cooling systems, power supply, generators, UPS systems, and electrical distribution. The role requires developing creative approaches to reduce operational costs while improving data center efficiency, ensuring environmental and safety standards are met, and managing performance issues and outages. As part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you'll contribute to maintaining the architecture that powers Google's extensive product portfolio, focusing on optimal performance and reliability. - Lead a team of individuals, set and communicate individual and team priorities that support organizational goals

- Monitor data center systems operation, control site activities to minimize risk
- Develop strategies to improve efficiency, minimize cost, and reduce environmental impact
- Collaborate with partner teams and project leads to set and implement short- and long-term strategies
Requirements For Data Center Operations, Facilities Manager
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 7 years of experience in critical facilities management
- Experience working as a facilities manager or chief engineer
- Experience in mission critical systems operations
- Understanding of operations and maintenance of electrical, control systems, and mechanical systems in data center environment
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
