Data Center Operations Manager, Global Server Operations

Google's Hardware Operations team is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to lead and manage teams responsible for the company's critical physical infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server hardware and components in Google's sophisticated data centers.

The position requires a strong background in computing infrastructure, with 8 years of experience and proven leadership abilities. You'll manage Data Center Technicians, oversee quality installations, and handle complex troubleshooting scenarios. The role involves working with Linux clusters, network components, and various hardware systems.

As a manager, you'll be responsible for delivering critical data center initiatives, analyzing trends, and driving necessary changes in tools, processes, and procedures. You'll serve as an escalation point for data center sites and work closely with Program Managers and Data Center Operations teams to shape both short-term and long-term strategies.
