Google's Hardware Operations team is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to lead their state-of-the-art physical infrastructure operations. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on infrastructure management, requiring expertise in both team leadership and technical operations.
The position involves managing teams of Data Center Technicians responsible for server hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance. You'll be overseeing critical data center initiatives, from data security to machine maintenance and networking, while using data analytics to identify trends and drive improvements in tools, processes, and procedures.
As a leader in this role, you'll serve as the primary escalation point for multiple data center sites, working closely with Program Managers and Data Center Operations teams to shape both short-term and long-term strategies. The role requires strong project management skills, with responsibility for managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of infrastructure experience and 5+ years of team management experience, along with fluency in both English and Dutch.
