Responsibilities For Data Center Plant Engineer, Mechanical

  • Lead efforts to test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for critical equipment operation
  • Own efforts to perform compliance activities for data centers globally
  • Lead efforts to monitor data center systems operations and control site activities to minimize risk
  • Lead efforts to ensure all sites are following facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally
  • Own the development of strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact

Requirements For Data Center Plant Engineer, Mechanical

Linux
  • Trade school qualification or certification in a related field
  • 10 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, controls, water chemistry, generators, mechanical, or other similar technical domain
  • 5 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment
  • Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools
  • Ability to communicate with contractors
