The Data Center team at Google designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and HVAC systems in the world. As a Data Center Site Operations Manager, you will lead a team responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting physical facilities conditions in Google's data centers. Your role involves managing heating and cooling systems, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems. You'll be responsible for developing strategies to improve efficiency, minimize costs, and reduce environmental impact while ensuring environmental and safety standards are consistently met. In emergency situations, you'll manage data center performance issues and outages to minimize recovery time. This role requires a strong background in data center operations, technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, and excellent leadership skills to manage and develop a team of technicians. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement short- and long-term strategies for data center operations and improvements.
