Description For Data Scientist, Ads Metrics

Google's Search Ads and Google Experience (SAGE) organization is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Ads Metrics team. This role is crucial in developing and analyzing Google's most important Ad products, from classic text ads to rich shopping ads and Discovery ads. The position involves working with massive datasets to shape Google's business and technical strategies, focusing on enhancing advertising efficacy and user behavior analysis.

The role combines analytical excellence with practical business impact, requiring collaboration with Engineers, Product Managers, Sales Associates, and Marketing teams. You'll be responsible for processing and interpreting huge data sets, developing metrics to measure results, and integrating new methodologies into existing systems. The position offers a comprehensive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits.

  • Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources via relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python)

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
