Description For Data Scientist III, Product

Google's Devices & Services team is seeking a Data Scientist III to join their innovative team that combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware. This role focuses on driving analysis for the Android Wear OS device ecosystem and partnering with various teams to improve product performance. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in data analysis and coding, with expertise in Python, R, and SQL. They will work with multiple datasets and visualization tools while supporting the Android and Play Ecosystem.

The position offers an opportunity to impact Google's worldwide user base of more than a billion people. As a Data Scientist, you'll provide quantitative support, market understanding, and strategic perspective throughout the organization. You'll be responsible for weaving stories with meaningful insights from data and making critical recommendations for Engineering and Product Management teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with data visualization tools. You'll work closely with Product managers, Engineering teams, UX, and other Android teams to provide product and strategy insights. Responsibilities For Data Scientist III, Product

  • Drive analysis for the Android Wear OS device ecosystem
  • Partner with Product managers, Engineering, UX and other Android teams to provide product and strategy insights
  • Work with Engineering teams who create data pipelines to ensure proper dimensions and metrics are incorporated
  • Act as a thought partner to produce insights and metrics for various technical and business stakeholders

Requirements For Data Scientist III, Product

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5 years of work experience with analysis applications and coding (Python, R, SQL) (or 2 years work experience with a Master's degree)
  • Experience working with multiple datasets/data warehouses
  • Experience working with data visualization tools, Android and Play Ecosystem
  • Knowledge and understanding of the mobile ecosystem
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
