Description For Deployment Operations Program Manager

Google is seeking a Deployment Operations Program Manager to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects that span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. The position involves coordinating with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional partners.

The Technical Infrastructure team is responsible for building and maintaining the architecture that powers Google's product portfolio. This includes developing and maintaining data centers and building next-generation Google platforms. The team takes pride in being the engineers' engineers and ensures networks run optimally for the best user experience.

As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for executing product configuration strategies, managing NPI program test ordering, and driving change event impact analysis. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure smooth product transitions and optimize processes for automation and scaling.

Responsibilities For Deployment Operations Program Manager

  • Form partnerships with New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations and Platforms teams, and stakeholders across organizations
  • Execute rationalized Product Configuration Strategy from Concept to General Availability (GA)
  • Manage milestone schedules for NPI program test ordering
  • Drive change event impact analysis and adjust plans of record across systems
  • Drive development and optimization of product transition processes and tools to automate and scale

Requirements For Deployment Operations Program Manager

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team engineering projects
  • Excellent communication skills with global teams
  • English proficiency is required
